first_imgIt is very easy to fall into a rut around this time of year when it comes to your training and nutrition. The New year goals are a distant memory and the summer goals haven’t quite kicked in yet, even though they should have already.If you have been coasting in your training and with your diet, it’s time to step it up a bit. Yes, you may be consistent in showing up to your workout.But working out and training are 2 different things.With Emmet RusheYou can workout and never break a sweat or make any changes to yourself, how you train or how you eat outside of the gym.This is a great way to stay the same. Don’t look for results because you show up.Life doesn’t have any participation awards I’m afraid and if you want to see changes in your weight or body shape, you are going to have to work for it.You get results by putting the work in, in every session.You get results because you are consistently better with your food than you are with your weekend’s out and secret snacking you think we don’t know about.It’s very easy to feel entitled, because you have a good attendance rate and are ‘good’ most of the time. But attending isn’t enough to warrant results and being good most of the time isn’t what will get the results you want.When you are training you have to be making some sort of progress from week to week and month to month.Ways you can do this are;Try lifting heavier weights.Try doing more repetitions of each exercise.Try going for a longer time.Try going farther in a shorter time.Try beating yourself each session.Try eating better and limit the amount of off plan meals and snack that creep in.
